Epic Foreshadowing And Things To Come

I know that the posts may have seemed like they slowed down but, I can assure you that I have not. I've been putting a lot of time and energy into thinking of ways to grow Financially Digital and provide my readership and the Financially Digital Community some serious value. So needless to say that when I'm doing any of my best thinking there's probably a three ring binder and a hole punch sitting right beside me because that "thinking" becomes "doing" and "tracking" as soon as that paper leaves the printer.

The first in the line-up is a bi-weekly newsletter: Financially Digital Underground (working title). If you haven't already be sure to drop an email address in the sign up box on the right hand sidebar. My goal is to make it:

  • a snappy re-cap of the past two weeks for finance, econ, tech and social media,
  • address comments and concerns,
  • host contests and giveaways,
  • offer up deals as they come sliding across my desk,
  • and list out important dates and events that would be coming up here in Financially Digital and the rest of the world.

Thinking about throwing a "Money Doctor" Advice column so that no voice goes un heard :).

The second in the major change is the adoption of a regular posting schedule. I want my readers to be able to expect great content on a regular basis. That doesn't mean that I won't post spontaneously from time to time. Let's face it sometimes there are just things you can't wait to share like giving a person a birthday gift early and not letting them open it. So from here on out you can expect to be awed by the informational prowess of Financially Digital every:

  • Monday
  • Wednesday
  • Friday
  • Sunday
  • (with some stuff sprinkled in between there from time to time).

The third change has to do with us interacting as a community more. I want to know not just what you guys want to know more about but..about you!! So I'm in the process of getting some video together so I can properly introduce myself. Along with that there is a Facebook Fanpage coming, a UStream account so that we can play together over the interwebs face-to-face, there's always my Twitter: @Nunzio_Bruno and LinkedIn profiles as well. I don't want to be just another fixture speaking out at you, I want to be conversing with you.

These changes were born of me forcing myself to do a little soul searching. I have been doing Financial Planning in some capacity for years now and I didn't want to lose track of the "why" I started Financially Digital. Sometimes it gets tough immersing yourself in trying to keep up with content, networking (for the site and in real life), and my consulting. What I didn't want to do was get stuck behind a desk and phone again or so deep in Morningstar financial printouts that I couldn't see anymore. I do this because I love to teach and I love to be infront of people. So it's going to be my task to take this medium and bring it as close to face-to-face as I can without us actually being out to coffee..or heck let's have coffee I'm always up for making a new friend.

So please do sign up for the newsletter - the first one goes out Monday June 28th. Please do visit regularly to witness me holding myself accountable to posting amazing content on a regular schedule. Please do visit the Twitter, Fanpages, LinkedIn, UStream's, etc. Without you I'd just be talking to myself and I already know that it's not as fun as you might think it is. I am determined to see that we grow and learn together and more importantly from each other. So introduce yourself in comments or come find me somewhere on the web.

Now it's your turn - Leave your answers in the comments below!

What I would like from the readers out there is a little feed back. Is there anything I missed?

Would you come to a live streaming video event?

Are you as excited as I am about getting to know each other?

What are some things you would like to see in the immediate future topic wise?

Count me in! Can't wait to read the newsletter you're going to send out. I'll try my best to give any feedback I can. Who knows, maybe a column for me? :P Would love to see what you got there. Thanks also for all the support you've given me the last month. I did ask myself 'Where's Nunzio?' these last two weeks.

While I am in the stages of working on an ebook, there's always room for communication and pitching ideas. I'm here to help. Now you're on the spot! :)

Don't worry, it's only process! So keep 'em coming!

Thanks Sam! So far so good as far as honoring the deadlines I gave myself. I wasn't too happy with the first newsletter launch but you live and you learn. My goal is to be up there with you and the other Yakezie Big Dogs someday soon :)

Hi there,
I'll look forward to bi-weekly newsletter that you will incur. I agree with you if the post is much slower when compared with newspapers. What do you mean with the contest? I do not really understand about you're talking about relates to your goal. Do you want to increase revenue? I think the bi-weekly newsletter that you launch can help to increase your income.

Thanks...
Frederic
