Yakezie Blog Carnival Round Up

Happy Friday!

Today I have a special treat for you - Financially Digital is hosting this weeks Yakezie Personal Finance Blog Carnival. If you aren’t familiar with the Yakezie it’s an amazing group of personal finance bloggers that is always striving to put out content that is designed to really provide value for the readers. You won’t find any kind of spammy or sales-y type bloggers and posts here. I’ve had the opportunity to get to know a few of these bloggers over the past couple of months/years and I am proud to be able to showcase their works and hope that you take a few minutes and hop around in some of the links.

These are my top choices for this weeks carnival! So you’ll see a link to the blogger’s post and then a quick one liner type description. Enjoy!

Fat Guy Skinny Wallet - Awesome blog that documents how you can get healthy and manage your personal finance life all at the same time.

Financial Samurai - Sam is living not just the life I think I want for myself eventually but he does an amazing job with each and every one of his posts. Always well thought out and super packed with real information (read: reality).

Budgeting in the Fun Stuff - Crystal always manages to leave me smiling! I love her “Fit in a Fun Friday” posts, definitely worth a visit to her site.

My Personal Finance Journey - Never a bad post and the latest should be particularly interesting if you are looking for the best places to open online savings accounts with the highest yields.

Faithful With A Few - Every post from KNS always leaves you with something to think about in terms of making your personal finance situation better. The last one included, all about perspective on tax returns.

One Cent at a Time - Always helping you to make the most out of the resources you already have. This post is no exception helping you reuse, recycle, and repurpose household goods.

Barbara Friedberg - Awesome personal finance blogger and she’s also an academic..just like yours truly :) She has been one of my personal favorites for a very long time!

Beating Broke - This blog is choc’ full o’ resources and posts to help you live a better life and get debt free. Like their last one about deciding how to handle costs if you were in a recent car accident.

Krants Cents - Another of my big time personal favorites. Every post is thoughtful and well planned and is always leaving you with a little more than what you came in with. His last post will help you stop stressing out over putting a budget together for yourself.

The Frugal Toad - Sometimes you come across stuff on the web and think - that’s nice but doesn’t apply to me. That never happens here! The Frugal Toad does a great job leaving you with real life and real actionable tips to help you do better for yourself everyday.

There are soo many more bloggers that I think you should check out. So below you’ll see a list with links. In the interest of time (yours and mine) and of space we will just call these equally amazing bloggers the Honorable Mentions:

Squirrelers - TV Commercials Glorifying Materialism

My Wife Quit Her Job - How To Start A Blog And Why Blogging Can Be Better Than Ecommerce

American Debt Project - A Quick Update, Changing the National Anthem, and Good Reads of the Week

Thousandaire - The End of a Car Lease Sucks

Money Crush - Dreaming vs Doing

Sustainable Life Blog - Tax Season Challenge Update

Yes, I Am Cheap - Tips for Cutting Your Food Budget

Free From Broke - Turbo Tax Online Federal Giveaway

Phew! That’s quite the list! I sincerely hope that you take some time and poke around some of these awesome blogs. I always find myself learning something new, thinking about my own mindset, or even challenging some of my own personal finance chops every time I venture out. If you find something you like be sure to let them know too - as bloggers and creators we all strive to get the most useful information out to you (the readers). So be sure to speak up :)
